To recover their health, all confiscated animals in the ARCs were put in rehabilitation programme. Their condition will be assessed before they are released in their habitat or translocated to other rehabilitation center

Our partner, Friends of the National Park Foundation (FNPF), is working on the rehabilitation of Bali Starling and Yellow-crested Cockatoo in Nusa Penida Island , Bali . Meanwhile Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation (BOSF) is providing rehabilitation center for Sun Bear and Orangutan, located in Samboja Lestari (East Kalimantan ) and Nyaru Menteng ( Central Kalimantan ).

Friends of National Park Foundation (FNPF)

is a local non-profit organisation working to conserve Indonesia 's wildlife, parks and forests for Indonesian people and for the world.
FNPF focusing its work on releasing the endemic Bali Starling and Yellow-crested Cockatoo in Nusa Penida Islands , through

  • Encourage Adat leader to develop traditional security system (Awig-awig) and local regulation to prevent illegal bird trade.
  • Collaborate with Nusa Penida port authority to prevent illegal bird trade
  • Disseminate information and conducting conservation education to students and public.

So far, FNPF has been conducted release program for 25 Bali Starlings (on 10 July 2006), 5 pairs of which were nesting around the release site. FNPF released another 12 birds on 12 December 2006.
